Precision in Every Plan: Cassie's Detail-Driven Approach to Resident Activities

We're thrilled to introduce you to the creative force behind our vibrant activities program, the one and only Cassie, our Activities Director extraordinaire! Cassie brings boundless energy, passion, and a wealth of creativity to every event and activity. Her dedication to making our community a lively and engaging place is truly commendable.

Let's take a moment to appreciate Cassie's incredible efforts in planning memorable activities that bring joy to our residents. From themed parties to educational workshops, Cassie's touch is evident in every detail. “My role is to make sure that the residents in our skilled nursing facility are aging as successfully as possible, making sure they are stimulated intellectually, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Making sure that they are well rounded and having full support in all ways.”



“Our approach to planning activities is to simply try it because you never know what’s going to work. Everyone has a voice and it should be heard. Now if they say they want to go skydiving, I won’t buy a plane but we can definitely try virtual reality.” Cassie has made dreams of traveling come true using platforms such as virtual reality when it seemed impossible. “You need to find that joy, even when life is hard.” Her commitment to tailoring activities to the diverse interests of our residents is unparalleled. Cassie takes the time to understand each resident's preferences, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. Whether it's a themed party, a craft workshop, or a cozy gathering, every element is curated with a keen understanding of what brings joy and fulfillment to our community.

What’s coming up in the activities world? “We have tons of activities coming up. Next month, we want to start a yesteryear baking club, where we bake popular goods from the early 1900s until 1970. For example, Velveeta fudge and tomato soup cake. Again, these were popular in the 1900s so they must’ve been good! We also have the Notoriety show choir coming in to perform and so much more!”
